Everyone wants to get out of town during spring break. It’s one of the longest breaks of the year that helps people disconnect from stressful daily routines. As a result, it’s a popular time for people to travel since they have so much free time to devote to trips. While it’s exciting to anticipate getting away, you have to first choose where you’re going from a long list of popular spring break destinations for couples.

Vacation destinations will vary depending on the budget you’re working with. You may be tempted to visit a place near your hometown, but when it’s spring break, you should go big! If you’re not sure where you’ll go this year for spring break, read on for some travel inspiration. You may find a new place that will have you searching for the next flight out of town. Wherever you decide to go, use this year’s spring break to make incredible memories and experience life in a whole new way.

New Orleans, Louisiana

Whether it’s a short drive away or not, New Orleans is a great place to go when you’re looking for a fun vacation. You’ll arrive after the craziness of Mardi Gras season ends, so you won’t get caught up in all the traffic and major crowds. Prices for hotels will also drop since their biggest tourist season of the year will be over.

Check around online to see if you can find great room rates. Look outside the famous French Quarter for the best prices. You’ll still be able to find a nice place to stay within walking distance of everything if you spend a little time looking around at what’s available. Afterward, you can check out fun attractions like Bourbon Street and Jackson Square to start planning what you’ll do while you’re there.

Amsterdam, Netherlands

Spring is the best time for couples to visit Amsterdam. It’s a time for festivals and parades, with the biggest attraction being All King’s Day. Formerly All Queen’s Day, this festival is celebrated with constant parties for people of all ages. Travel in a boat down the city’s iconic canals to reach the fun, where you can spend every day trying new foods and celebrating with the locals.

Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Do you spend your days dreaming of a way you could experience an adventure in the most beautiful location? If so, Puerto Vallarta is calling your name. You can explore all day long, discovering places to hike, cave dive and zip line. A few minutes researching will help you plan a vacation to one of the best spring break destinations for couples.

Svalbard, Norway

This year, go to Svalbard, Norway to take advantage of all your free time with 24-hour daylight. There won’t be any sunsets to end your days of fun. On the other hand, if you vacation toward the end of April, you’ll get to see their northern lights whenever you want during their 24-hour nights. Decide what you’d both rather experience, then book the next flight out to Norway.

Key West, Florida

Key West is a classic spring break destination because it’s a tropical getaway you can enjoy without ever leaving the United States. Fly into Miami and drive out to the Key West coast. It’s a small town, so there will be budget-friendly hotels and entertainment to fill your days. Key West is the place to go if you want to disconnect from the stress of daily life and enjoy a quiet trip away with the person you love.

Cabo San Lucas, Cancun

If Cabo San Lucas isn’t on your bucket list, it’s time to add it. It’s known as a romantic place for couples to escape to, especially if either person cares to golf. There are multiple championship golf courses for you to try when you’re not parasailing, snorkeling or horseback riding. There are so many things to do in Cabo San Lucas that it’s made a name for itself as one of the best spring break destinations for couples from all over the world.

Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Myrtle Beach is one of the best-known beaches in the U.S. because it has something for everyone. Couples can enjoy the romantic beaches and dining in the area while families spend their time at amusement parks and family-friendly tourist spots. Walk the boardwalk to get a glimpse of the vintage side of Myrtle Beach, or hang out at their state park.

Paris, France

Every couple should get the chance to see Paris together when they have enough time to visit, like during spring break. Whether you want to go just to try their famous foods or you can’t get enough of their art museums, you’ll both have an incredible time in the city of lights. Spend some time looking at all the different places you could book a room with. It’s a booming city, so there are endless hotel options, as well as rooms you can rent with locals.

Savannah, Georgia

Couples who prefer a getaway that’s quieter but still romantic will love Savannah, Georgia. When you’re not at the city market, you can cruise on a riverboat, walk through the state park or visit any of their historical sites that played key roles in United States history. Savannah has become one of the most loved spring break destinations for couples because it so perfectly combines its history with its bustling modern city life.

St. Lucia, Caribbean

Spring break is the best time to visit St. Lucia because you’ll experience their Jazz and Art Festival. For eight days, you can listen to many different kinds of live jazz music and peruse crafts from the best local jewelry makers, painters and wood carvers. You’re bound to go home with unique treasures and memories of plenty of time spent on their white, sandy beaches.

No matter where you decide to go for your spring break, do plenty of research on every location you’re considering. Certain events and festivals will be happening everywhere, and you may find that you prefer some over others. Talk with your partner to make the final decision, then enjoy your spring break in the most fun and romantic place you can get away to.
